Available in 1, 2, and 3 Pound packs. Not all ground beef is equal. The majority of ground beef today comes pre-ground from gigantic meat processors and as a result the likely hood of contamination is far greater. Further, grocery store beef is a mixture of multiple animals, and has likely been shipped from somewhere far away - perhaps even another country. All of our beef comes from single animals born on our farm in Loranger, LA. They are humanly treated, and owned and managed by us from birth through final individual package sale.
Our grass fed 90/10 (very lean) Ground Beef is raised without antibiotics and has no added hormones or steroids. All our beef is federally inspected and we are certified by the state of Louisiana to be able to advertise grass fed, antibiotic free, no added hormones or steroids beef. All of our cattle have the best lives we can provide them. They can seek shelter (our barns) or spend the entire day in our pastures - free choice. We use rotational grazing so our cattle are continually moved from one pasture with lush grass, to another. Even in the winter we have lush rye grass pastures part of the time. We us our own high protein Bahia hay whenever winter pasture is not available. All they eat is grass for their entire lives - the way their digestive systems are designed to work (4 stomachs). Eating only grass results in a healthier product. Compared to grocery store beef, our grass fed beef is leaner, has more antioxidants, more vitamins, more beneficial fat (CLA), and 50% more omega-3 fatty acids. Further it is less likely than grocery store beef to contain “superbugs” (i.e. bacteria that have become resistant to three or more classes of antibiotics).
